| Description: | The only resort on Lighthouse Reef Atoll. The Great Belize Blue Hole is Located at Lighthouse Reef. None other than Jacques Cousteau called this one of the MUST dives in the world. We are the only atoll in the western hemisphere with a private airstrip. No wasting of precious time, or canceled dive trips due to bad weather and very windy days, and don't mention a boat ride that takes 2.5 to 3 hours to get here and by the way that's not round trip, total travel time is 5 to 6 hours, OOPS I am sea sick already. Our guests arrive in style on a private charter from Belize City International that takes a short 20 minutes or so. Flying over you get a scenic glimpse of the islands of Belize and the Belize Great Barrier Reef. All the best dive sites in Belize are located here on our atoll, Half-moon Caye Wall, Silver Caves, Long Caye and the famous Aquarium just to name a few just minutes away.. We boast the best beach in Belize. Belize First Magazine, the #1 Magazine on Life and Travel on the Caribbean coast has rated Lighthouse Reef Resort the best offshore dive resort in Belize for the third consecutive year. We have a total of 22 employees on the island that's a ration of 1:1, no other dive resort in Belize offers this, talk about service. The beach is a stone throw away from your accommodations.
